Getting started

• Allow Camera access for AI rep counting.
• Allow notifications for reminders and alarm alerts.
• Authorize Family Controls only if you want Grindly to block selected apps.

Alarm troubleshooting

• Keep notifications enabled and choose a Grindly alarm sound.
• On iOS 26 or later, Grindly uses AlarmKit when the system makes it available; older systems use scheduled notifications.
• After creating an alarm, use the in-app alarm test and verify it once with your iPhone locked and once in Silent mode. Focus modes and system settings can affect fallback notifications.

Rep counting

Place the full upper body in frame, use even lighting and keep the phone stable. Pose analysis runs on-device. Grindly is a wellness tool, not a medical device.

App blocking and parental controls

Select protected apps in Grindly and grant Apple’s Family Controls permission. A parent can additionally use the Screen Time passcode and iOS restrictions to prevent changes. Apple, not Grindly, enforces those restrictions.

Account and data

Grindly uses an anonymous guest account for Friend Challenges. To remove it and all local data, open Settings > Account > Delete account and confirm twice. If deletion cannot reach the server, your local data is kept so you can retry safely.
